Welcome
to the ex pupils and teachers site of the British Forces Schools
in Singapore
The
Schools covered on this site are all the schools that operated
within the Army, Royal Air Force and Naval Bases in Singapore
from 1945 onwards. They include schools at the Royal Air Force
Stations at Tengah, Changi and Seletar, Army Bases at Tanglin,
Nee Soon and Gillman and the Naval Base ,H.M.S. Terror, based
in the northern part of Singapore, facing Johore Bahru in
Malaya, just across the Causeway. There is a list of Boarders
housed at Kinloss from "Up Country" (the Malayan
mainland) and other parts of the Far East, where the British
Forces Educational Service, were unable to provide full time
teaching services. We have also included some schools in mainland
Malaya. We currently have over 2000 ex-pupils listed.
Relive
some those times, which were both exciting and idyllic. It
was a time when all your cares and problems were forgotten.
Sundays, throughout the year, were spent at the beach or swimming
pool, Walks in the "jungle" were possible anytime
and every day was like a summer holiday. Life was kind, memories
stored and friendships were formed for life. We were very
lucky and we were proud to have been part of this scene. Look
through the site, make contact with friends, post messages
and enjoy yourselves by going back in time! Go to the Picture
Galleries and wallow in nostalgia.

As this site grows in size it is becoming
more and more time consuming for us to run as a hobby so we
felt it necessary to introduce a charge of £5.00, for
three years access to the main areas, so we can at least recover
some of the costs involved in its maintenance etc. .
So
if you would like access to our School Lists and Galleries
please see here for details.
